Marjorie Savage Williams
August 14, 1918 - June 26, 2010
Marjorie Savage Williams, 91, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Hospice Savannah after a long illness. She was born August 14, 1918 in Braddock, PA to the late Ralph and Edith Savage. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert Doolia Williams and a son Jerre Wayne Williams.
She was a longtime resident of Savannah, GA. She retired from the Chatham County Board of Education as a school lunchroom manager. After her retirement she and her husband moved to Ellijay, GA where she was a member of Cartecay United Methodist Church. Upon her return to Savannah she attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Bob Williams and his wife Kim. Grandchildren, April Smith Colin, Danielle Bell Paxton, Guy Williams Jeri, all of Raleigh, NC, Stacy Williams and Robert Williams of Kansas City, MO, and Brian Williams of Savannah, GA, and a devoted daughter-in-law Sally Shaddock Seward of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
At the request of Mrs. Williams, no funeral services will be held. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband.
